Hello! Welcome to BGPhoto.org!
My name is Brent Guidry and I have been a professional photographer in Southeast Texas for nearly three decades.
I specialize in sports action photography using a Canon EOS1 MkIII.
About the photographer
I got my start in photography as an eighth-grader back in 1977 using my dad's Canon FT. About two years later, I bought my first camera, a Canon AE1, and it was a done deal … I was hooked!
I had my first work published in the Thomas Jefferson High School newspaper and yearbook and later worked for The University Press at Lamar University in Beaumont.
I have been a regular contributor to The Silsbee Bee newspaper in Silsbee, Texas since 1992 where I shoot mostly prep sports for schools in Silsbee and Lumberton.
Over the years, I have participated and had success in several local and regional photography competitions.
As a member of the Beaumont Camera Club, I have collected 10 first place awards and an equal number of second place honors in competition against some fantastic photographers in Southeast Texas.
I am also a member of the Gulf States Camera Club Council and have won two first-place awards in this five-state competition.
As a contributor to The Silsbee Bee, I have won regional and state-wide awards for my sports photography as a member of the Texas Press Association, Texas Gulf Coast Press Club and the Press Club of Southeast Texas.
I love photography and that passion shows in the detail I put into my work. I would be proud to shoot for you!
